The Local, is a farm-to-table and sea-to-table restaurant with a menu based on fresh and locally-sourced ingredients. A distinguished supporter of local farmers, The Local sources most of its produce from Worden Farms, Inyoni Farms and Wild Heritage Farms.
The abundant seafood and long-growing season in Florida inspire our menu and passion for our food. Our menu will change with the seasons and we promise to provide an intimate, fun, clean, casual and comfortable environment.
Jeff Mitchell, graduated from both the Culinary Institute of America and the University of Wisconsin. Jeff has 10+ years of restaurant industry experience, including working at the Ritz Carlton, D’Amico & Partners, and Cafe and Bar Lurcat in downtown Naples. Jeff is passionate about giving back to the community, and working with local farmers to create a network of other like minded people.
Chef Rich Demarse is also a Culinary Institute of America graduate, he creates signature dishes that include family recipes, and local favorites inspired by his travels through Europe, his Italian grandmother’s cooking and Sunday suppers at this family home where he learned to appreciate the extent to which food can bring people together and serve as a source of happiness. He is excited to create fresh and local meals.
